Position Details

  • Black & Grey HR is currently representing a leading developer in Abu Dhabi, UAE
  • Our client is seeking a Senior Community Manager who will be responsible for assisting the Community Management Leadership in planning, budgeting, and coordinating with other departments to improve the efficiency of the facilities

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with vendors, contractors, and service providers to optimize both hard and soft facilities management services, thereby enhancing the functionality of retail facilities.
  • Executing corrective and reactive maintenance activities to meet agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Contributing to the development of contract specific Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Managing the Defect Liability Period (DLP) to ensure timely reporting and resolution of issues and observations.
  • Supporting Senior Leadership in technical evaluations for new tenders and capital expenditure projects.
  • Assisting in managing the Community Management team’s budget, recommending budget adjustments, creating project timelines, and ensuring operational excellence within allocated resources.
  • Managing the operating budget of the Community Management department and maintaining transparent financial records.
  • Utilizing Facilities Management (FM) software to monitor service provider performance, control costs, and proactively address performance issues.
  • Monitoring monthly energy expenses and collaborating with service providers to identify energy saving opportunities.
  • Maintaining an inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for seamless facility operations.
  • Establishing effective communication channels, emphasizing deadline adherence and operational transparency.
  • Collaborating with store management and service providers to optimize layout and schedule maintenance, minimizing disruptions and enhancing the customer experience.
  • Promoting customer oriented service by understanding user needs and ensuring efficient procurement and contract management operations.
  • Upholding a safe and compliant work environment by adhering to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) standards.
  • Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, legislation, and best practices that impact retail facility management operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Facilities Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Membership in the Institute of Workplace & Facilities Management (IWFM), formally BIFM (minimum), certified membership preferred.
  • Accredited technical training certifications related to Community Management are an added advantage.
  • 4+ years of experience in facilities management, with at least 1+ years in a retail environment, preferably within the UAE.
  • Solid understanding of fit out work in retail assets.
  • Proficiency in Facilities Management (FM) software.
