  • We are seeking a highly skilled Specialty Sous Chef with expertise in wok cuisine to join our team at Lng Lingi
  • As a Specialty Sous Chef specializing in wok cooking, you will play a vital role in managing and organizing the wok station within our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food preparation and quality
  • Working closely with the Chef de Cuisine, you will uphold standard operating procedures and deliver an exceptional dining experience
  • Your culinary talents, leadership skills, and mastery of wok cooking techniques will be instrumental in the overall success of our daily kitchen operations

Requirements

  • Asian food experiences, thai, korean, or chinese
  • 5 – 7 years’ experience in international cuisine in a five-star hotel
  • Extensive knowledge and proficiency in wok cooking techniques
  • Proven experience in managing and organizing a high-volume kitchen operation
  • English language and communication skills
  • Asian food experiences, thai, korean, or chinese. I would like to narrow our search for chinese if possible.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities to guide and develop staff, including direct reports
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen team
  • Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • A keen eye for detail to ensure consistency and the highest quality standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
  • To train, develop the Culinary colleagues, according to the monthly training plan, comment cards, hygiene reports and any other highlighted areas for fine tuning/development that would benefit the department
  • Estimates daily production needs on a weekly basis and communicates production needs to kitchen personnel daily
  • Support the Chef de Cuisine to develop, design, or creates new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products
  • Assist in determining how food should be presented
  • Maintain purchasing, receiving and food storage standards
  • Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
  • Leads shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment is working to the standard required and if issues are found that they are reported to the engineering team
  • Identify market changes and trends driving improvements and efficiencies
  • Conduct departmental orientation for all new team members
