Position Details
- Develop finite element simulation models and methods to analyze the structural and thermal behavior of composite piping products
- Execute finite element simulations to predict the performance of composite piping products under various conditions
- Improve the design, performance, and reliability of existing products and support the design and development of new products
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for and be the custodian of the FEA simulations
- Develop and maintain simulation tools and processes to support the design and development of products
- Perform FEA analysis on products including static and dynamic analysis, creep analysis, linear and non-linear analysis, and failure analysis
- Perform virtual testing simulations on products to assess the performance prior to prototype testing
- Document simulation methods, results, and conclusions in technical reports and presentations
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering5 to 8 years of experience in finite element modelling and simulation of composite materials using Abaqus and / or Ansys Composite Prep Post
- In depth knowledge of all aspects related to theory of composite materials such as classical laminate theory, failure theories
- Industry experience in composite materials products, preferably piping products
- Proficient in using SolidWorks and / or Inventor
- Creativity and innovation thinking
- Time management
- Analytical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Self-motivation
- Team player
- Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / Power Point), CAD & FEA packages
- Written & verbal communication skills in English
