Position Details

  • Purchase Coordinator
  • As the Purchase Coordinator, your role will be instrumental in ensuring efficient purchasing processes, effective stock management, and well balanced inventory assortments
  • You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to support merchandise strategies, monitor sales performance, and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demands
  • Your attention to detail and ability to manage tasks will contribute to the company’s goal of delivering an exceptional shopping experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Merchandise Managers to determine optimal stock levels and assortment mix based on sales trends, customer preferences, and market insights.
  • Assist in creating purchase orders to replenish inventory while avoiding overstock and stockout situations.
  • Regularly review stock levels and adjust purchase orders as necessary to maintain balanced inventory assortments.
  • Assist in the development and execution of strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and maximize sell through rates.
  • Support markdown planning and promotions to optimize inventory turnover.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with Merchandise Managers, Sales, and Operations teams to align purchasing efforts with company goals and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure clear expectations and timely execution of purchase orders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • X+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or merchandising within the fashion or retail industry.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • A keen sense of fashion trends and customer preferences.
  • Adaptability to a fast paced and evolving work environment.
