Position Details
- Purchase Coordinator
- As the Purchase Coordinator, your role will be instrumental in ensuring efficient purchasing processes, effective stock management, and well balanced inventory assortments
- You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to support merchandise strategies, monitor sales performance, and maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demands
- Your attention to detail and ability to manage tasks will contribute to the company’s goal of delivering an exceptional shopping experience
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Merchandise Managers to determine optimal stock levels and assortment mix based on sales trends, customer preferences, and market insights.
- Assist in creating purchase orders to replenish inventory while avoiding overstock and stockout situations.
- Regularly review stock levels and adjust purchase orders as necessary to maintain balanced inventory assortments.
- Assist in the development and execution of strategies to optimize stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and maximize sell through rates.
- Support markdown planning and promotions to optimize inventory turnover.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with Merchandise Managers, Sales, and Operations teams to align purchasing efforts with company goals and initiatives.
- Communicate effectively to ensure clear expectations and timely execution of purchase orders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Merchandising, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- X+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or merchandising within the fashion or retail industry.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- A keen sense of fashion trends and customer preferences.
- Adaptability to a fast paced and evolving work environment.
