As a mechanical design engineer part of the Radar Solutions product unit, you will participate in multidisciplinary teams to design and develop mechanical systems for complex radar and telecommunications products
You will support the systems, electronic, software, and production engineers providing mechanical design solutions in all phases of the product life cycle, from concept generation and planning to industrialization and serial production
Responsibilities
Translate general system requirements into objective mechanical design constraints
Generate concepts, detailed designs, and analysis of mechanical systems
Perform structural and thermal calculation of mechanical systems and components
Produce design and manufacturing information – engineering drawings, model-based definitions, design reports, testing procedures, etc
Participate in the integration and testing processes of prototypes or new subsystems and products
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, aeronautical, or equivalent engineering discipline, with focus on technical design
Experience of minimum 5 years in the development of mechanical systems and components for the defense, automotive or aerospace industries
Experience working in highly regulated environments
Familiarity with the use of ISO, EN and MIL standards and specifications
Strong knowledge of mechanical detailed design and design for manufacture metallic and composite materials
Applied knowledge of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing, focus on ISO General Product Specifications GPS
Advanced proficiency in the use of CAD tools to produce high-quality models and definitions of parts, assemblies, and products
