As Pastry Chef you will be assisting the Executive Chef, Hakkasan to ensure that the set food and pastry standards are consistently maintained and improved
You will also exhibit creative baking and decorating talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff in preparing quality and consistent pastries for all areas
In addition to this you will develop daily specials and ensure a variety of menu items offering local specialties, and plan pastry inventory in accordance with the forecasted business levels
Collaborating with the food and beverage management team to continually improve guest and colleague satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget is also required
In this role you will also continuously improve guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget
You must ensure that the sanitation and maintenance of equipment, proper rotation of food and usage of merchandise is in accordance to the food safety standards
You will also have to work with Marketing & Public Relations team to support and maximize revenues and social media exposure
Requirements
The ideal candidate must have Minimum 3-5 years experience as Sous Chef, Pastry or currently a Pastry Chef in an International luxury hotel or restaurant
The successful candidate must have culinary certificate and accredited education requirement, comprehensive knowledge of HACCP as well as general health & safety in the workplace
