The primary job function of the Head of Business Intelligence and Sales Analytics is to lead and oversee the development and implementation of the organization's business intelligence and sales analytics strategies
This involves leveraging data insights, advanced analytics techniques, and business acumen to provide valuable insights and drive data-driven decision-making across the organization
The role encompasses responsibilities such as data analysis, performance monitoring, reporting, cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement in the use of data and analytics to optimize sales performance and achieve overall business objectives
Responsibilities
Develop and execute the business intelligence and sales analytics strategy: Lead the development and execution of the business intelligence and sales analytics strategy aligned with the organization's overall business goals
Define key performance indicators (KPIs), data requirements, and frameworks for data collection, analysis, and reporting
Conduct data analysis and generate actionable insights: Utilize advanced analytics techniques and tools to analyze large datasets and generate actionable insights to Provide meaningful recommendations
Design and maintain reporting systems and dashboards: Create and maintain comprehensive reporting systems and dashboards that provide accurate and timely insights
Develop key metrics, visualizations, and reports to monitor sales performance, track KPIs, and facilitate informed decision-making at all levels of the organization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with Commercial IT, Commercial Excellence, Sales, marketing, finance, and other relevant stakeholders to gather data requirements, align on KPIs, and deliver actionable insights
Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure data-driven decision-making and maximize the impact of analytics on business outcomes
Continuously improve data quality and analytical capabilities: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, integrity, and accessibility
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to advance data analytics capabilities
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in business intelligence and sales analytics
Indirectly Lead and Support regional Business Intelligence team to foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation within the team
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business (Marketing, Strategy and/or Business’ Analytics)
Certifications or specialized training in business intelligence, data analytics, or sales analytics
MBA/Advanced degree is preferred
Min 10 years with mixed experience in Commercial and Business Intelligence
Functional Expertise: A solid foundation of experience in Sales strategy, Business analytics and Commercial effectiveness, and correlating financial data, analysis and forecasting as part of the Business planning process
Strong Technical skills in Power BI, Microsoft applications and Business Analysis tools and full understanding of Pharmaceuticals KPIs and specific datasets
Analytical Mindset & Problem-solving skills with an ability to generate insights and develop relevant and realistic Action plans
Leading Transformation and Change: Demonstrated success in shifting mindset, process and focus to ensure commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability
