- Estimation Engineer
- Black and Grey HR is currently hiring for a leading Electrical and Mechanical Company in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimation Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Electric Transmission and Distribution projects, with a preference for experience working with esteemed organizations like DEWA, ADDC, or AADC. As an Estimation Engineer, candidate will play a crucial role in providing accurate project estimations, cost analysis, and technical expertise to support the successful execution of our projects.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project specifications, technical drawings, and other relevant documents to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with various teams including engineering, procurement, and construction to gather necessary information for estimation purposes.
- Evaluate material and labor costs, equipment requirements, and project timelines to develop precise project budgets.
- Utilize industry-standard estimation tools and software to create detailed estimates and proposals.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and technological advancements to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
- Prepare and present estimation reports, cost breakdowns, and other documentation to internal teams and clients as needed.
- Participate in bid evaluation and clarification processes, addressing client queries and ensuring a clear understanding of the estimation.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to refine project scopes and provide value engineering suggestions.
- Continuously assess and improve the estimation process to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BSc/B-Tech) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or MEP.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Electric Transmission and Distribution projects.
- Strong familiarity with DEWA, ADDC, or AADC standards and procedures is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using estimation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to think critically to address challenges during estimation.
- Understanding of project management principles and practices.
