Position Details

  • Execute the multi-disciplines Layout Engineering design and drafting for the assigned disciplines (Mechanical, Piping, Pipeline, Process, Instrumentation / Control, Telecommunication, Civil / Structure and HSE), including detail drawings & layouts, specifications, data-sheets and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) as per project requirements within the approved time frame

Responsibilities

  • Prepares designs and layout engineering drawings as per project requirements following engineering principles and practices as well as company standards
  • Ensures the safekeeping and availability of engineering data, records, and documents at all times
  • Supports on the estimation of project deliverables and man-hours (discipline) in accordance with project requirements
  • Audits technical drawings and documents to ensure the accuracy, completeness, integrity and quality of engineering packages prepared for multi discipline projects
  • Participates in integration solutions to 3D modelling plant design system (PDS), electronic management system (EDMS) Engineering tagging system in MAXIMO and 2D CAD application (AutoCAD & MicroStation)
  • Participates in technical reviews and meetings with consultants to analyze drafting and tagging requirements and be able to provide advice on viable options
  • Keep abreast with new technologies in 2D/3D and attempts to identify potential hardware/software that may improve performance of drafting applications, and introduces automation workflow & process to engineering activities

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil, Plant Design or equivalent relevant degree or education
  • At least 7 years in Layout Engineering design and drafting (Mechanical, Piping, Pipeline, Process, Instrumentation / Control, Telecommunication, Civil / Structure and HSE) within the oil and gas industry
  • Hands-on and extensive experience in 3D modelling plant design system (PDS), electronic management system (EDMS) Engineering tagging system in MAXIMO and 2D CAD application (AutoCAD & MicroStation)
