The ideal candidate will have their finger on the pulse of Abu Dhabi’s lifestyle scene, a nose for new and emerging trends, and a passion for all manner of copy from inspiring listicles to in-depth features and interviews with fascinating subjects
The Deputy Editor must be passionate about storytelling and editorial innovation, from mobile-first story structures to video content, as well as ooze enthusiasm for unearthing the best experiences in the UAE capital
The ideal candidate has a track record of unveiling news exclusives and producing high-quality media products, as well as thinking big and outside the box with original story ideas

Responsibilities
Work to ensure Time Out is the first to break news of happenings within the brand’s remit, quickly identifying subjects, topics and events that will make compelling content pieces and making sure they’re executed in line with our overall brand strategy
Work with the Editor and Time Out GCC’s Head of Content and Editorial Director to ensure ALL content reflects Time Out’s overall editorial strategy and meets brand guidelines
Work with a small, but talented editorial to populate an editorial calendar that features both news, features and seasonal long-term evergreen content
Keep it current, identifying commercial and audience opportunities within it and communicating them to other teams
Generate social-friendly digital packages to be pushed across all social platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, newsletters, Facebook and more
Support the sales team by generating content strategies and establishing good relationships PRs
Have your finger on the pulse of the local scene; use your professional contacts and social-media networks to be the first to identify the next big thing
