Position Details

  • Lead and forecast the revenue planning with a monthly, quarterly view for the assigned categories including finalizing and driving commercial fundamentals for your category eg. hierarchy, range, types of products etc
  • Define clear metrics for the category/sub-category success and build sustainable programs to structurally drive the same across the organization
  • Cooperates with the department manager in development of business case for introduction of new products and services, this includes, surveying market and customers taste and requirements, expected sales, target group, sourcing channels, GmROI, margin etc
  • Category Sourcing
  • Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit industry developments that benefit ADNOC Distribution
  • Collects information and analyses for sourcing reliable supplier, negotiates for the lower cost for ADNOC Distribution, collates product details from potential suppliers (eg. Description, pack size, barcode, cost prices, recommended retail selling prices etc) and calculates to fix most profitable retail selling price, whilst generating the highest gross margin from the product sale
  • Evaluates capabilities and resources of new supplier, collect relevant information eg. trade license, agency letters etc
  • Negotiate best Commercial Terms with Suppliers and Distributors
  • Monitor supplier performance based on meeting their obligations and self-product availability discusses to improve and maximize the service level from suppliers
  • Maintains relations and renegotiates, regularly, to embitter terms and reach the lowest, possible, cost price for products

Responsibilities

  • Partner with internal teams to develop tools, automation, and process improvements that affect purchasing and vendor management workflows
  • Ongoing vendor management ensuring retention, issue resolution, escalation where necessary
  • Understand customer buying behavior (across channels) – adoption, repeats, category adjacencies and other relevant buying behaviors
  • Managing the collection and analysis of Consumer, Market and Competitor insights for the category, share findings, and adapt strategy as necessary, main source of information being Suppliers
  • Making recommendations to senior management on the category based on ones expertise of the consumer, market and competitors
  • Analyze and Benchmark the F&B Market and Consumer Demand to understand the new F&B Trends
  • Manage inventory availability and inventory health including improved in-stock, inventory planning, vendor operational improvement (efficiency, fill rates, lead time), forecasting, and shrink reduction
  • Define the New Product Range in line with Market Demand / Future Trends
  • Develop Ingredients Formulation for the Product Range
  • Define Ingredients Specifications necessary for Product Range Development
  • Research Supply Chain in line with Ingredients Specification
  • Develop Recipes for F&B Staff and Standard Operating Procedures for each New Product Line to Ensure Operational Efficiency and Best-in-Class Consumer Experience
  • Develop 4P Strategy for each of the New Product Launches to achieve Category Commercial Targets

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing, sales, business administration, food science, food technology or any other relevant discipline
  • Masters or post graduate degree is Sales and Marketing will be highly preferable
  • 10 years of experience in F&B Fresh Food management, including experience in New (Fresh Food) Products Development, preferably in retail operator, including 4 years in position of increasing responsibility
  • HACCP (Minimum level 3)Advanced level 2 management in food and safety
  • PIC level 3Any other related food certificate is an advantage
