Position Details

  • Manages the energy team within utilities department, coordinating activities of the engineering and technicians
  • The energy team covers typical power infrastructure work, instrumentation and control for process mechanical, extra low voltage design covering security, ITS, ICT etc
  • Responsibility for working with the teams leads and principals in managing the energy team
  • Ensure effective communication of technical and business issues to all staff reporting to you, and the wider team
  • Accountable for the results of the energy discipline department and adherence to approved project budgets
  • Fully accountable for the team’s utilization targets

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for independently resolving all technical and managerial matters about the engineering issues within the energy department
  • Must have solid understanding of power infrastructure networks (HV/MV/LV), Controls and instrumentation as well as Extra low voltage
  • Extensive experience of working on land development projects covering master planning stages to detailed design
  • Identifies trends, issues and opportunities for their area of the business, industry, service line or process
  • Conducts peer reviews, lead verifications and shares knowledge through internal technical presentations and standards development
  • Provide high level technical expertise in terms of quantity, quality and cost to assess whether targets have been achieved and determine where improvements and efficiencies can be achieved
  • Can perform technical quality reviews including documentation in project record in accordance with policies and procedures and approves and signs off on work

Requirements

  • Minimum 17 years experience, with at least 10 years being in large international engineering consultancy
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical engineering or relevant
  • Chartered Engineer or PE
