Job Position
- Manage the day to day running of the geophysical services in Dubai
- Oversee the development of geophysical services within the department, and to maintain, monitor and develop the current geophysical services and output
Job Responsibilities
- Promote the department services through marketing and client visits
- Responsible for acquiring, collating, processing, interpreting and reporting of geophysical data on, and/or leading, projects of medium to high complexity
- Is ultimately responsibility for: the collection of complete and high-quality geophysical data; the compilation of results reports and other data deliverables; the appropriate QC of data, interpretation and reports/deliverables; and the management and production of geophysical data deliverables
- Is responsible for all aspects of the project related to geophysical data acquisition (completeness and quality), interpretation and delivery, including the line management, supervision and training of more junior team members
Job Requirements
- BSC / MSC or equivalent in a Geophysics, Geology or related discipline
- At least 15 years' experienceGood understanding of survey and data acquisition principles
- An understanding of the geophysical equipment and methods used
- Knowledge of data interpretation, mapping, visualisation and plotting software
- Practical field experience of land geophysical survey work, such as data acquisition, quality control, interpretation of side scan sonar, sub-bottom profiler or magnetometer data
