Job Responsibilities
Implements the day-to-day operations assigned for the Network Administration Section to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures
Serves as administration and maintenance of company’s network infrastructure including troubleshooting of data cabling
Maintain Internet security and monitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance
Install, support and maintain hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, switches, WIFI controllers, and firewalls
Perform network security design and integration
Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, success of changes made to the network infrastructure
Provide network and host based security, incident response, firewall and administration
Implement the necessary controls and procedures to protect information systems assets from intentional or inadvertent modification, disclosure, or destruction
Assist in the development of guidelines and procedures for administration and security best practices
Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions
Assist in the network inventory and asset record maintenance
Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work
Researching, analysing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performanceTechnical evaluation and procuring new products and services from vendors
Configuration of PABX, Time attendance and Biometric Access Control
Data center, cooling and environment monitoring
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information TechnologyComputer Network Systems and troubleshooting3 – 5 years relevant experience in a large organization
Thorough knowledge in implementing, administering, installation and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices, including: firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points and controllers, and monitoring applications
Knowledgeable in application transport and network infrastructure protocols (SSL/TLS, DNS, DHCP, WINS, NTP, FTP, HTTP, SMTP, CIFS, LDAP, and Microsoft AD), and possess an understanding of how to support these applications / protocols when accessed through VPN and firewall appliances
Comfortable documenting and explaining network topologies
Strong background with resolution of technical issues during planning and execution phases
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and successfully execute tasks in accordance with departmental / project objectives
Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies and products, independently using documentation and online resources
Very good knowledge in technical terms and report writing skills
