As an Assistant Sales manager – MICE, you will be responsible to maximize sales and achieve pre-determined targets, working closely with Rooms, Food and Beverage, and other revenue-generating departments
Job Responsibilities
Analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business
Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business into the hotel and to increase market/customer share in all revenue streams
Negotiate room rates and packages with corporate clients
To provide sales support to the Director of Sales and Marketing
Job Requirements
Relevant experience in line with the position is an asset
Minimum 3 year experience in the Sales department is preferred
Strong analytical skills so to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
Business degree, or any relevant qualification, would be advantageous
