Nominated by Air Arabia and endorsed by the GCAA to act on its behalf, this role monitors and manages the airworthiness function and audit procedures related to the Certificate of Airworthiness validation and renewal process of the assigned Air Arabia fleet
He/she is expected to perform duties in collaboration with the “Manager Quality Assurance” in line with Air Arabia approved standards and GCAA rules and regulations
Job Responsibilities
Manages the complete aircraft physical audits, surveys and historical records review (log books, modification records, Airworthiness Directives, Damages assessment, Life limited components, mandatory placards and markings etc
) for the Airworthiness Review Certificate renewal on assigned fleet; supports the “Manager – QA” in managing the same for the non-assigned fleet
Identifies and manages the fleet airworthiness review plan taking into consideration effective scheduling fulfilment for aircraft Continued Airworthiness
Ensures there are no delays in planning/implementing corrective actions for non-compliance or in-accuracies in the Airworthiness Review that may affect aircraft airworthiness and/or possible aircraft safety
Carries out necessary and timely checks on Air Arabia aircrafts to ensure compliance with Company’s approved policies and procedures required for aircraft airworthiness and acceptance by the GCAA and regulatory bodies; compares to original acceptance by OEM’s as needed
Job Requirements
Bachelor degree in Aircraft Engineering/Aeronautical/Auditing or equivalent; alternately an appropriate license in compliance with “CAR 66” from a recognized entity combined with 5 years of experience in continuing airworthiness
Must have completed formal aeronautical maintenance training
Must be approved/ eligible for approval by the GCAA as “Airworthiness Review Certification Engineer”
Project Management certificate or alternately the proven corresponding working experience is nice to have
