Position Details

  • Account Director, Events
  • As an Account Director, Events, you will lead the Events Management component of the business to help deliver exceptional service to our guests
  • In addition, the role involves sales component in Weddings and the Social Events segment by identifying and exploring new business opportunity as well as maintaining and developing existing clients
  • You will also ensure all events are managed to the highest level, communication between operations and the client is effective and seamless
  • With a high level of attention to detail and meticulous planning skills, you will play a key role in ensuring all events are managed for success
  • Another key aspect of the Account Director, Events role will be the handling of major events such as NYE and Ramadan which takes place annually at Atlantis the Palm, in your role you will act as a project lead to plan, execute and arrange for large scale events
  • In this role, you will also deputize in the absence of the Director, Events, and need to lead and coach the team of Event Managers, Assistant Event Managers, and Event Executives to keep the team consistently engaged, and develop the team and guide the team to fulfill their targets and KPI s whilst meeting the high expectations of Atlantis the Palm
  • This role requires creating and monitoring individual sales and performance targets on a regular basis
  • The role is based at Atlantis, The Palm and responsible for all Events taking place in our world class conference and banquets facilities

Requirements

  • The successful Account Director, Events will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a 5* resort/hotel, specializing in the leadership of a dynamic multi-cultural team whilst holding extensive knowledge and experience on the technical skills required to succeed in this role
  • Holding a demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with key sources of MICE & Weddings business is a plus
  • You will also have a proven track record of managing complex and high-end events within a hotel/resort venues within the UAE
  • It is also essential that you have experience managing a team and any additional languages is also hugely advantageous
