Position Details

  • Develops and implements tailored supervision management plans, policies and procedures on Construction Management commissions based on AECOM standard procedures
  • Oversees the safe and timely execution of all sites operations by driving the establishment, implementation, monitoring and reporting of all critical activities through the Contractors Construction Management Plans and processes
  • Establishes and maintains professional relationships with appropriate Clients and Contractors personnel
  • Acts as a primary point of contact at a senior level should problems arise from the Clients or the Contractor’s Head Office

Responsibilities

  • Has a high-level understanding of the projects master schedule and work progress, including milestone dates
  • In coordination with sites resident engineers, identifies actual and potential delays and takes corrective actions with the Contractors
  • Establishes the chair and ensures weekly, monthly recording of regular progress meetings with the Contractors and others, including Design or other Consultants, are held at the sites
  • Participates in Risk workshops and ensures the implementation of appropriate assigned actions by stakeholders
  • Coordinates between Construction Sites and design team for required information and resolution of RFIs or other technical matters
  • Ensures the site team supervising the Contractors ongoing operations is being carried out by providing timely inspections and witnessing the works, enabling quality and progress targets to be maintained
  • Manage and coordinate all necessary activities for projects close out internally and with the clients
  • Manage projects financials including invoicing and variations
  • Acts as a coach and mentor to staff and leads by example
  • Develops a network of internal and external resources
  • responsible for resource planning for all running construction sites of his area
  • Builds working relationships with Client’s, Contractor’s, Consultants and Vendors across the entire supply chain
  • Supports the establishment of AECOM initiatives and policies on projects
  • Ensures the scope of work, schedule, and budget, are clearly defined and understood by Senior Management and all project participants, including the Client
  • Oversees the quality and timeliness of the RE’s’ delivery and that the REs are trained and able to perform
  • Has overall responsibility for all Health & Safety issues on site
  • Manages overall project team and assumes people management responsibilities
